ViewSync by MarshAPI
1. Create or Open a Revit project that includes multiple views.
2. Open ViewSync Settings (Add-in tab>>Marsh API panel>> ViewSync >>Sync Settings) and configure options
a. Sync Plan Views: when checked and sync views is active, Plan Views will be synced with each other.
b. 3D Views:
i. Sync 3D views: when checked and sync views is active, 3D views will be synced with each other.
ii. Sync 3D views with Plan Views: open 3D views will be zoomed and panned to approximately the same location currently viewed in the active plan view.
iii. Do Not Sync 3D Views on Sheets: when checked and sync views is active, views which have been placed on sheets will not be sync’d.
c. Elevation Views:
i. Sync Elevation Views: when checked and sync views is active, Elevation Views will be synced with each other if the view direction in the other Elevation view is parallel to the active view direction (looking either way)
ii. Sync Elevations with Plan Views: open Elevation views will be synced with the active plan view by showing an area of the elevation view which closely matches the extents of the current plan view zoom/pan.
d. Live Sections:
i. Live Sections: When checked, ViewSync will automatically locate 2 sections of your choice and synchronize them with your current plan view. You may specify an offset from center of the view in the range of -1.0 to 1.0 as a percentage of the current plan view to locate the sections above/below or right/left of center.
ii. Live 3D Section: When checked, ViewSync will automatically locate a 3D view of your choice and synchronize the view's zoom/pan with the current plan view and adjust the section box of this view to match the plan view zoom and view range.
iii. Note: you must create section and/or a 3D views order for ViewSync to synchronize them. You may configure them how you wish in terms of view direction, view graphics etc.
4. Enable View Syncing: Click Add-in tab >> Marsh API panel >> Sync Views.
5. To disable view syncing, simply press Sync Views again ( Add-in tab >> Marsh API panel >> Sync Views). To turn syncing back on again, simply press the button again.
6. View Sync’ing works on the application idling event. This means that views will not be synced until Revit has nothing else to do. You can increase sync speed or increase model performance by adjusting the slider between faster syncing and better model performance.

View Sync Settings
Launch the settings dialog for ViewSync. Syncing settings are available here as well as licensing and support information.
Sync Live Sections
Use this command to manually synchronize 2D and/or 3D sections. Automatic sync of 2D and/or 3D sections will tend to fill up the undo stack, this is an alternative to automatic section synchronizing. Consider assigning a keyboard shortcut to this command for quick access.
Start syncing views based on the ViewSync Settings. To turn off view syncing, press this button again (It will indicate Unsync Views, when view syncing is turned on)
The installer that ran when you downloaded this plug-in from Autodesk Exchange Apps has already installed the plug-in. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer by downloading it again from Autodesk Exchange Apps, and select the 'Uninstall' button, or you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features' (Windows 7/8/8.1) or Add/Remove Programs (Windows XP), just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.
ViewSync 3D syncing is free and will continue to work after the trial expires. (30 days)
Should you wish to purchase a license to the advanced features: ViewSync is licensed on a per Revit year basis. Product will require activation via email within 30 days after first installation. Please visit our Shop
VOLUME/Mulit-Year LICENSING: Please contact email@example.com for discounted volume/multi-year licensing purchase.\
-Plan to elevation/3D view is one way. 3d views and elevation views will sync with an active plan view but it does not currently work the other way (we’re still trying to nail down what it would look like to go the other way) Plan views do not sync with active 3D or active elevation views.
-While automatic live section synching is turned on, the undo stack may tend to fill up with section box/section moves. We are not aware of a workaround for this and, if it is a problem, we recommend turning off live section synching and using the manual sync command "Sync Live Sections". Consider assigning a keyboard shortcut to this command for quick access.
-When one view is maximized, views hidden behind will not sync properly with the current view. This is an Autodesk Revit view performance optimization which is not in our control.
